Rotators for Excavator Attachments

The rotators are optimally matched to KINSHOFER excavator attachments and typical applications such as material handling, recycling, forestry, and industrial operations. They are used, among other things, on orange peel grabs, re-handling clamshell buckets and industrial grabs, as well as timber grabs with operating weights up to 120 tons / 264,000 lbs.

Rotators for excavator attachments are available in versions with lifting capacities from 4.5t to 15t / 9,900 to 33,000 lbs. The robust RD50 and RD120 rotations are specifically designed for heavier attachments such as P-series orange peel grabs up to 120t / 264,000 lbs re-handling clamshell buckets up to 100t / 220,000 lbs, and timber grabs up to 80t / 176,000 lbs.

The gerotor principle enables the creation of very compact yet extremely powerful rotators for excavator attachments. Users particularly benefit from the precise start and stop behavior, which facilitates the accurate positioning of attachments.

KINSHOFER uses high-strength tempered steel with a nitrided and vibratory-finished surface, which significantly reduces wear. In addition, the slewing ring and pinion are sealed, and the rotary union and motor are easily accessible, simplifying maintenance and servicing.

Thanks to the integrated pressure relief valve, the rotary motors operate largely independently of the excavator's hydraulic system. The valve reliably protects the rotator from overload, thus increasing operational safety in everyday construction site use.

The rotary motors are available with a flange and head plate or with a flange but without a head plate. Head plates are optional. All KINSHOFER rotators are supplied with fittings. An additional hose guard can be optionally fitted to increase workplace safety.
